MARRIAGE MENTORING
MOST MARRIAGES DON’T NEED AN OVERHAUL, JUST REGULAR TUNE-UPS
You are not alone in your experiences. You’ll be paired with another couple who wants to listen and invest in your lives. Over the course of a year, they’ll guide you through 14 conversations crucial for a healthy marriage. This isn’t crisis counselling, it’s an opportunity to share your story and learn from the life experience of another couple.
You will meet with your mentor couple for approximately 90 minutes a month. They will guide you through one of the conversations in your conversation guide and listen to you, encourage you and help you to determine some next steps to grow closer together.

Anger: Overcoming Emotions That Destroy
Life is full of hurts and bumps and bruises. Every emotional hurt we experience produces an automatic reaction of anger in us, even if we are not aware of it. As a result we tend to repress our anger instead of using it to help us deal with life’s hurts. Anger is often misunderstood and when we express it in a destructive manner, we experience hurt again.
In this course, you’ll learn how anger can work for your benefit and how to use it to overcome hurts and offences through forgiveness.
Here are a few of the topics covered:
Understanding anger’s purpose
How depression, anorexia, sarcasm and yelling can all come from a similar root
How to deal with hurt by turning anger into a friend
Developing a strategy that turns anger into motivation
Distinguishing between anger and bitterness
How to heal hurt and bitterness through forgiveness

You can rest in "the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding."
Recovery from Codependence
This group offers a supportive place to explore unhealthy relationship styles found in families and the unhealthy effects it has on us as we grow up. You may have attempted to find comfort in unstable or unsatisfying ways and have assumed negative and false beliefs about yourself. Journeying through this workbook will help you see how to create a healthy new identity and understand what healthy relationships look like and how to achieve them.
