INTERNATIONAL MIISSIONS PARTNERSHIP
This year Woodvale is honored to provide prayer and financial support to the following twenty-one individuals/families and four missions organizations. Will you consider praying for one or more of these missionaries on a regular basis?
Bonita & Alberto Abrams-Izquierdo
Bonita and Alberto work primarily in the area of theological education throughout Cuba. Their main goal is not to simply teach students, but to educate new professors so that they can effectively teach in their own seminaries. They are also discretely involved in many other projects as needed.
Sheldon & Anna Armitage
Sheldon & Anna pastor a church in Slovakia. Sheldon is the Assistant Regional Director for Eurasia Now and teaches at the National Bible College. They are also members of the Core Team for the European Freedom Network, an anti-trafficking and sexual exploitation network.
Paul and Kyla Arsenault
Paul works with Wycliffe Bible Translators, a PAOC partner. Paul has recently initiated a linguistics training program for Wycliffe at Tyndale University College in Toronto. He also serves as a linguistic consultant for national Bible translators in South Asia. Kyla continues to serve as the Director of Care for Creekside church in Waterloo ON. Paul and Kyla have two children: son Taylor and daughter Hanna.
Ilya & Janet Bantseev
The Bantseevs planted a church in Novokuznetsk, Russia that has grown to approximately 1000 people. The congregation ministers in prisons, orphanages, and to people with life-controlling problems or addictions. They also send ministry and missionary teams to plant churches throughout the rest of Siberia and share the gospel with professional groups such as doctors, athletes, government officials, and police. In 2002 Ilya and Janet Bantseev started Source of Life, which is Teen Challenge in Siberia. They now have over 200 students and over 50 workers.
Phil & Judy Bowler
Phil and Judy serve in Dakar, Senegal. Phil is the regional educational resource missionary for West Africa. This involves teaching, administration, and consulting in Senegal, Ivory Coast, Liberia and Guinea. He also works to strengthen and stabilize the various programs of theological education and leadership training in five Bible colleges. Judy works with the Women’s Ministry, teaching and consulting with the national Assemblies of God women’s executive, and assists with children’s ministries.
Bridges for Peace Canada
Bridges For Peace is a Jerusalem-based, Bible-believing Christian organization supporting Israel and building relationships between Christians and Jews worldwide through education and practical deeds expressing God’s love and mercy. It is our desire to see Christians and Jews working side by side for better understanding and a more secure Israel.
Marilyn serves as a teacher and coordinator of the Transformational Church Leaders (TCL) development program for the coastal region of Kenya. Its vision is to train and equip transformational church leaders at the local church level who will then impact the body of Jesus Christ in Kenya and beyond its borders. Marilyn lives in the coastal city of Mombasa.
Capital City Mission
Capital City Mission (CCM) is a drop-in centre in downtown Ottawa that ministers to the inner city's poor and homeless people by expressing Christ's love to them. With its current volunteers and staff, CCM offers free services such as meals, laundry coupons, clothing, computer help, counseling, hospital visits, prison visits and street/home visits. Rev. Timothy Meisenheimer is the Executive Director.
Alejandro & Mercedes Cetrulo
The Cetrulos plan to engage in ministry to reach the lost and care for the poor and marginalized as well as spiritual and leadership training for people of influence.
Their hope is to be active church planters, and to develop a theological and leadership training centre, a mission training/sending centre, and a feeding program for impoverished children through the auspices of ERDO.
Jennifer & Raz Iacob
They work in a downtown slum in Romania providing mentoring & counselling to at-risk mothers, school readiness programs, abandonment pevention programs, early education for at-risk children, medical & humanitarian aid and abuse & human trafficking pevention programs.
King of Kings Community Jerusalem
King of Kings Community is called to be a compelling, Messiah-centered, Spirit-empowered, disciple-making community that reveals the true face of Yeshua (Jesus) to Israel and to the nations.
Gary & Bev Laing
Gary & Bev lead the growing Canadian team in Cambodia and mentor national church planters. They also teach at the Cambodia Bible Institute and the Impact School of Missions, Bangkok, as needed. Bev conducts medical missions trips to the villages and plans to work with a ministry that supports girls rescued from the sex trade.
Darren & Patty McCrea
Darren & Patty minister to the poor in Colombia, especially children and do missionary training (many of whom will be ministering in closed nations) and church mobilization. Their heart is to see Colombians reaching Colombians.
Javier & Stephanie Moran
Javier and Stephanie are preparing to move to El Salvador with their children where they will work alongside Mission To El Salvador and join hands with individuals living on the streets, kids at risk and exploited women and girls. They will assist in developing programs and educational opportunities for Salvadorian children who have been victims of poverty and abuse.
Mark & Cherilyn Orr
The Orrs work with International Teams (IT). They are currently in Kampala, Uganda with their 7 children. Mark has launched a pilot project called Leadership555 that is training, connecting, mentoring and cheering on 555 nationally supported Ugandan leaders to deal with Uganda's challenges at the root level. Cherilyn has started a research project to better understand how to teach and implement attachment principles in African orphanages. She has already made huge break-throughs with both the caregivers and the children at one of the orphanages.
Ottawa Innercity Ministries
Ottawa Innercity Ministries (OIM) is an interdenominational Christian charitable organization serving the poor and homeless in downtown Ottawa. OIM seeks to faithfully embody Gods love by empowering people who are disadvantaged and homeless to meet their needs and to address and prevent the causes of poverty and homelessness with justice and compassion. Street outreach ministry, health care, a drop-in centre, special events, education and urban intervention training are services provided by OIM. Reverend Ken MacLaren is the Executive Director.
Restoring Hope Ministries
Jason runs an emergency shelter in Ottawa for homeless men and women ages 16 - 25, Thursday to Sunday.
Deborah lives in remote Northern Kenya among the Turkana people. She facilitates educational training from Early Childhood to University level, provides medical and food aid, she drills boreholes for potable water supply, develops agricultural activities and community development. Her vision is to see Turkana and Kenyan Christians respond to the call of God to this very harsh area.
Tim & Sandra Smith
Tim and Sandra have been serving with Mission Aviation Fellowship for over 10 years. Tim is a pilot and manager and flies various aircraft in support of local churches, missionaries and aid organizations. Sandra is a qualified teacher and uses her gifts to help out where needed. The Smiths spent several years in Angola and most recently in Papua, Indonesia.

This family ministers to almost 40 Global Workers in North Africa, Middle East, Central Asia, East Asia and Southeast Asia, working to bring good news to a people group where only a handful of Christians exist today.
Restricted Access Nations 2
This family ministers to the people of East Asia and Southeast Asia. Their work includes supporting local believers and churches as well as training of pastors and local missionaries.
Restricted Access Nations 3
Sabrina has been living and working in Asia for 5 years. She has worked with trafficked women and children as well as those with HIV. Currently she Is working as a consultant in holistic health care and trauma intervention. One major responsibility is to provide programs and resources to women and children that will empower them and help them to heal. This project also aims to equip other charities to implement care programs to those that are at risk, marginalized and trafficked. In the future it is the hope of this project, to open a transitional home that will provide care and counselling to exploited and homeless children.

This family works with impoverished migrant workers in East Asia, teaches at a school which equips new Global Workers and mentors local believers stepping into ministry. They also focus on language studies, including ESL activities and serving the urban poor.

Love Eurasia - Silk Road Nations
J & J serve as associate pastors of an International Church in the Turkic world. Their passions are prayer, evangelism, discipleship, church planting and helping women who have been trafficked in the sex trade.

Prasad & Dawn plant churches, host pastoral seminars, offer a free after-school program to at-risk children, find loving homes for orphans, and give guidance and practical working skills for poor and marginalized people like widows in India.
